I've finally decided that I need to clean up and dry out. I've been drinking and smoking herb just about everyday since college. I graduated in 2005, and my first job out I made $32k a year, but now 8 years later, I should make over $150k this year. No, I'm not a gov't employee or a contractor. I tried that and hated it.
As the years have passed, I've drank more and more - changing from strictly beer, to wine, to vodka drinks, and now back to beers. In that time, I've gained about 40 pounds and I feel like shit. I got laid the other day and started sweating during it and then immediately fell asleep for like an hour afterward. I am single with no kids, own my own home, and have two cars. I need to get sober and I think I need help.
But, I'm concerned that all that alcohol and pot have helped me get to where I am today. Maybe being able to have fun, having a "free-spirit", and getting along with almost everyone will change if I go clean.
