Police Investigate Burglaries in Oakton
Thieves took items from some Oakton businesses, but weren't successful in all attempts.

Fairfax County police are investigating at least three burglaries in Oakton that appeared to occur in the early hours of Monday morning at a number of local businesses.
FCPD spokesman Officer Don Gotthardt said at three incidents were reported to police between 3 and 4 a.m.
Early reports indicate attempted or successful burglaries at 2952, 2960 and 2972 Chain Bridge Road, he said.
The addresses are attached to several businesses in the Twin Oakes Plaza Shopping Center and the Hunter Mill Plaza, two shopping centers near Oakton Elementary School.
Police declined to specify which businesses within those centers are involved.
No information was available on how much merchandise or money may have been taken from the affected businesses, but Gotthardt said the thieves were not successful in one of their burglary attempts.
