So, I went to the Auto Zone on Elden Street this morning and in the time it took me to buy $213.74 worth of parts...my car was towed. Oh sure...I saw the signs about no festival parking but, I wasn't going to the festival...I was buying auto parts.
Initially, I called the police to report my car was stolen so they dispatched an officer to the parking lot. Then we saw a tow-truck prowling the lot and stopped him and the driver said that my car had in fact been towed.
So, when I went to the towing company's impound lot I still had to pay the $125 release fee. When I explained to the guy working the impound lot that I wasn't attending the festival and I showed him my Auto Zone receipt he shrugged and said, "Well, how were we supposed to know that?"
Is this even worth the aggravation of retaining an attorney? I feel like I'll spend more on attorney's fees than I would the initial $125 release fee...
