So, I'm down at the American History museum today and in their transportation exhibit they have some ship models one of which was a slave ship...
And all I could think of was...
If I'm out going about my business here in NOVA...maybe I'm going to work, meeting with friends, playing golf, working on my car...whatever. And all of the sudden someone I don't know rolls up and tries to cuff me to take me to a dock, throw my ass on a ship, sail across the globe, unload me, auction me and I end up a slave...there's just NO WAY I'm letting this happen.
I'll fight tooth and nail. Maybe they shoot me right on the street when they pick me up because I manage to gouge one of the hunter's eyes out...maybe they throw me in the ocean and I drown...there's just no way you're making me a slave. I'd rather die than be anyone's slave so please...just kill me if those are my choices.
How does ANYONE allow themselves to be enslaved? I just don't understand it...
